I love make-up and must have at least a little mascara on when I leave the house! I have a huge assortment of facial cleansers, toners and scrubs, but they are intended for adding balance to my skin type – not necessarily removing make-up. In fact, I can use one of my hoity toity skin cleansers and still be left with streaks of eye makeup running down my face. I have used standard make-up remover creams, liquids and wipes. They often make my face and eye area feel either dried out, or worse – greasy. It\u2019s a horrible feeling to remove eye make-up and then feel like a greasy film is on my eye! How healthy is that?<\/p>\n

Makeup Eraser so graciously sent me one of their products to try out. It is advertised as being a chemical free way to remove make-up, and as the special cloth is re-usable, there is no daily biodegradable waste (like make-up wipes!)<\/p>\n

I decided for easy photo taking, I would recreate a sampling of make-up on my hand. I drew this Picasso-ish face with everything from waterproof mascara, Benefit cover-up, mineral make-up, eye shadow, blush, eye-liner and 24 hour stain lipstick. We shall call her \u2018Handee\u2019.<\/p>\n

I wanted to make sure the make-up sat long enough, as that is exactly what happens when it\u2019s on my face! In fact, I went back to work typing away when my daughter came home from school hours later. She looked at my hand and asked, \u201cWhat the heck is wrong with you?\u201d   Handee and I were sort of offended.<\/p>\n

After explaining the concept and experiment, my daughter was on board and actually volunteered to help take pictures. She\u2019s into lipgloss and (gasp) lipsticks at her tender early age, so she of course took great instant interest.<\/p>\n

After petting the cat, it was then time to say good-bye to Handee. (sniff)<\/p>\n

The instructions call to first wash the Makeup Eraser before the first use. With a dried, clean Makeup Eraser, then next step is to wet a portion of it. Drenching that section with warm water is recommended.<\/p>\n

I then gently rubbed half of Handee\u2019s face in a circular motion as instructed. As promised, the make-up came off easily and without any type of major effort. The waterproof mascara and 24 hour lipstain came off just as easily as the mineral make-up. Wow! Pretty cool. It even made my wrinkles go away! Ok, maybe not…the make-up caked on my hands really accenuated my wrinkly hands though. Eww. <\/p>\n

I finished off Handee\u2019s face in no time. My skin was soft and squeaky clean with just warm water and the Makeup Eraser. Amazing and easy. Where were you in the 80\u2019s when I had all that dark blue eye shadow and purple mascara on?<\/p>\n

I rinsed out the Makeup Eraser and hung it to dry. I\u2019ll be sure to use it again this evening, but this time on my face!<\/p>\n

Washing instructions (for when I\u2019m ready to do so): Machine wash cool delicate, no bleach & low dryer setting. <\/p>\n
