\u00a0I recently partnered* with One Degree Organics Brand to play with their varieties of unflavored oats in the kitchen and noticed that they promote their products as being glyphosate residue-free. Wait, hold up. Do you mean I’ve been eating oats with glyphosate? Sadly, yes! In most conventionally grown crops, g<\/span>lyphosate residues are prevalent in most popular oat-based foods and other grains.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re not familiar with glyphosate, it is the primary active ingredient in Roundup, the world\u2019s most widely used herbicide. Glyphosate has been classified by the World Health Organization as a probable carcinogen, so it’s definitely not something I want in my morning breakfast!<\/span><\/p>\n

Usually, homemade granola is used to make rolled oats, but this time I wanted to make lighter fluffier granola, so I used the One Degree Organics Sprouted Quick Oats.<\/p>\n
