As a teen, I remember using harsh chemical-laden wipes and cleansers that would strip all the natural oils off my face. Although my skin felt clean after use, I often wondered if my skin was going to melt off. Not knowing any better, the natural oils would be completely wiped away, and then my skin would create MORE oils to overcompensate, creating a super greasy vicious cycle. Now that I’m a WEE bit older, and have a teen daughter, I’ve researched products that would be effective for teen skin, yet more gentle and natural.<\/p>\n

Here’s a cleanser and a topical acne treatment that I’ve found to be effective:<\/p>\n

This glycolic cleanser<\/a> is not only great for a deep clean, but the glycolic helps get rid of dead skin cells that can clog pores and give skin a dull appearance. Keeping the outer layer of skin fresh can help prevent break-outs, regardless of any age. Skin feels refreshed and tight afterwards. Follow with a good moisturizer. Great for teens as well as aging skin.<\/p>\n

Other glycolic washes would work well too. \u00a0Glycolic acid is part of the group of active compounds known as AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids). Derived from cane sugar:<\/p>\n

“It has the smallest molecules in the group\u00a0so is able to penetrate skin deeply and easily, making it the most effective for treating fine lines, acne, blackheads, dullness, oiliness etc.”\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another natural acne solution, is\u00a0Copaiba Oil<\/a>\u00a0The unique properties of Copaiba oil helps combat many skin conditions from acne, to rashes to inflammation. It also helps tighten the skin naturally, so it’s great for aging skin as well!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Eclipse Blemish Solution <\/a>is great for breakouts that you can see flaring up. It’s a non-greasy gel and can be applied directly to the blemish, and works best if applied before bedtime.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It has natural ingredients such as\u00a0Witch Hazel Extract, White Willow Bark and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice.\u00a0Eclipse kills acne-causing bacteria\u00a0and also works on sensitive skin.<\/p>\n
