Palm Canyon Hike<\/strong><\/h2>\nIf you only have time to do one hike,\u00a0 I recommend going to the Palm Canyon Hike in Borrego – not to be confused with the one in Palm Desert!<\/p>\n

The Palm Canyon hike in the Anza-Borrego Desert leads to a lush oasis amidst the dry desert landscape.<\/p>\n
The Hike:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Trailhead:<\/strong>\u00a0Located just north of the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center,\u00a0within the Borrego Palm Canyon Campground.\u00a0There’s an $8 day-use fee for the campground.<\/li>\n
- Distance:<\/strong>\u00a0Around 3 miles round trip,\u00a0with two options:\u00a0the main trail (follows the wash) and the alternate trail (higher elevation,\u00a0steeper).<\/li>\n
- Difficulty:<\/strong> Moderate. There’s elevation gain (around 450 feet), and the sun exposure can be intense, especially in summer. The shady portions tucked away in the hillside can get quite cool! Pack layers for this hike.
