Did you know that your pillow should be selected based on how you sleep? I had no idea, which is probably why I have suffered from neck pain forever. As a side and stomach sleeper, I wasn’t sure as to which caliper of ‘softness or firmness’ I needed, so Fluffco<\/strong> <\/a>sent me both a soft and firm alternative down pillow. I’m all over of the place while I sleep – picture a Tasmanian Devil, but in slow-mo, and probably with some drool. My current pillow was about as supportive as a deflated pool float, so I was excited to try out the Fluff Co Down Alternative Pillows; which are known for appeasing picky pillow people!\u00a0 Choices such as alternative down, down, soft, and firm pillows are important to the unique way you sleep for maximum comfort.<\/p>\n

UPDATE September, 2025 – Although I think the FluffCo is a soft squishable pillow good for side sleepers, I have found the the Layla Kapok pillow<\/a> that is even better and more customizable. It also uses natural kapok fibers as filler. Please read the review here<\/a><\/span>. Again, the FluffCo pillow is a solid choice and may be more budget friendly, but the Layla Kapok pillow is my new daily sleeper.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Fluffco pillow boxes arrived and the bags were very vacuumed sealed; I was worried they would not fluff. But oh boy, did they floof up quickly once exposed to my little world. My first impression was that they both had a great amount of fluffy filling. They also were soft and so cool to the touch. The FluffCo pillow boasts a unique blend of sustainable and allergy-friendly materials, so that hit some positive check marks for me. It features a 100% vegan microfiber polyester fill, surrounded by a 100% cotton, 300 thread count shell.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I didn’t know which pillow (soft or firm) to sleep with, so I brought both to bed! I found myself loving the firm one for reading, but when it came down to mushing the pillow around my face and head, I liked the soft better. These kinds of squishy pillows aren\u2019t just great for everyday comfort. They can be especially helpful after procedures like facelift surgery<\/a>\u00a0when quality sleep and gentle support are crucial for recovery. \u00a0Lower loft pillows are good for stomach sleeping and higher loft are better for side sleeping. Both pillows serve a purpose to me, so I think having one of each was a good call in making my life comfortable. I’m also wondering if the firm one will mush down even more over time?<\/p>\n

It also made me realize how I’ve been suffering with my current pillow. Yikes! I imagine I’m not the only one. Good pillows are essential to quality sleep, so a quality pillow pays dividends with a good night’s rest. That morning jaw pain that I’ve been accustomed to also was magically gone after a night’s rest on my FluffCo pillow. Imagine that!<\/p>\n

This product has sustainability features recognized by trusted certifications and made with chemicals safer for human health and the environment as certified by OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100\u00a0 I actually had to look up the OEKO TEX standard and am embarrassed to say I have no idea what my previous down-alternative pillow was made out of.<\/p>\n
