I personally like turnip mash, but I decided to make my turnips family-friendly as I wanted these suckers consumed!<\/p>\n<p>Turnips have a unique pungent taste that pairs well strong spices. I decided to bake these peeled and sliced &#8216;fries&#8217; with spicy cayenne and warm flavorful nutmeg. It&#8217;s great by itself, or serve with a cooling cumin yogurt dip.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5170\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/1.png 810w, https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/1-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/1-768x427.png 768w, https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/1-500x278.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>You will need:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2-3 large turnips (peel and cut into fries)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2 tablespoons olive oil<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1-1\/2 tsp cayenne<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1-1\/2 tsp nutmeg<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1 tsp salt<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1\/2 Parmigiano Reggiano<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to prepare:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Take cut turnip fries and put in a large bowl.
