The leaves were golden, the air was crisp, and giant pine cones were gathered at the base of towering trees.\u00a0Because the lake and mountain view was so stunning, I wanted to make an appetizer that was equally as beautiful and matched the environment. These can keep in the fridge for up to two weeks, so they are also great for impromptu holiday gatherings with friends.<\/p>\n<h2>You Will Need:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 8 oz. block of cream cheese<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (can be mixed Monterey\u00a0jack and cheddar)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cups diced green onions<\/li>\n<li>1 clove garlic crushed (optional)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>sliced almonds (at least 2 cups of whole unbroken ones)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How To Prepare:<\/h2>\n<p>Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well until everything is incorporated.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5356\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/cheese.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/cheese.png 810w, https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/cheese-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/cheese-768x427.png 768w, https:\/\/stage.boredmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/cheese-500x278.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Form cheese into two balls.
