I listened to a podcast recently about kelp and other kinds of seaweeds, or sea vegetables, being the new kale. Nutritionally packed and easy to grow, ocean farmers see sea veggies as the next produce frontier. With water shortages and other land limitations, I’ve always thought that the sea could be sustainably utilized to provide good nutritional food for us. I recently received a Vitapod machine to review and the timing could not have been more perfect! I have a daughter going off to college for the first time and we’ve been crazy busy shopping for her new life in a dorm room. As a Mom, it’s extremely hard to send your child across the country and my primary concern is her health and wellbeing. Clean tasty water is a huge concern as the dorms my daughter will be residing in only has tap water, and filtered water stations are only available in some classroom and public buildings across campus – not exactly very convenient to dorm life!
