Planning for a Covid-Era High School Graduation Celebration

Planning for a Covid-Era High School Graduation Celebration

Just yesterday I was ushering my shy little girl into preschool and now my baby is graduating high school and will be moving across the country! How the heck did that happen?

Although the light at the end of the Covid tunnel is in sight, this year has been rough on many seniors across the country. Thankfully many schools are allowing an in-person graduation in some format. So, although my daughter has been online all year and has missed out on all fun senior activities, we’re excited to take part in the formal graduation ceremony.

As we’re only allowed four guests to the ceremony (and still grappling with which grandparent won’t be able to come), we are going BIG on the announcements.  We want to send out beautiful customized grad announcement to all of our friends and family and Basic Invite has a great assortment and options for me to order from.  As my daughter wants to customize her announcement to the colors of her future college, we love that Basic Invite offers  almost Unlimited Colors.

They are one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once they select a design, customers can change the color of each element on the high school graduation invitation. With over 180 colors to choose from, the invite is going to be EXACTLY how we want it!

Basic Invite also offers Custom Samples, so we can order a printed sample of the actual invitation before I place their final order. I LOVE this because often it’s a gamble as to the quality, and sadly I’ve been disappointed with the outcome from other websites. By getting a sample in hand, I can actually see and feel the paper quality and how it will print, and make sure the card is perfect.

Basic Invite just proves they are anything BUT basic as they also offer over 40 different envelope colors to choose from. With so many options, customers can make their envelope match the invitation. All of the envelopes are peel and seal so they can be closed quickly and securely. Again, Covid friendly – no one wants spit sealed envelopes right now!

If you have a family member celebrating the end of graduate school and are in need of something like law school graduation announcements, you can go REALLY big and get fancy foil cards and choose flat or raised foil on all of the designs.

After the ceremony, we will be having a small masked outdoor gathering for local friends and family in our backyard. We are planning on doing it in an open house style format so people can drop by, grab a drink or bite to eat and move on if they have other celebrations to go to. We realize everyone has different comfort levels with gatherings right now (lots are still not vaccinated!), so we want to make sure we keep everyone safe.

However, we know many won’t be able to come. In addition the the custom beautiful announcements, we are also going to order matching Thank You notes in case my daughter receives a gift and needs to send out an appreciation letter.

Right now Basic Invite is offering 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51

Fighting Back Time with goPure’s Firm & Lift Serum

I’ll be honest. I’m in full battle mode against skin aging. As a teen, I sunbathed for hours in baby oil and I think SPF 5 was about as much sun protection as I would use. Now, I’m much older, wiser, and so annoyed with my previously tanned and sun-baked self!  (more…)
