Purify the air in your teen’s room with Okaysou

Purify the air in your teen’s room with Okaysou

Raise your hand if walking into your teenager’s room feels like a health hazard? With many teens and college students at home doing online school, the air get is getting a bit funky in their bedrooms, if you know what I mean. As they are older, I am all for giving my teen the autonomy to have her room the way she sees fit. However, I also know that hours and hours of online school, especially in the cooler months means less fresh air, more meals and snacks in the room and also less vacuuming because we have to be quiet during the day for ZOOM classes. All of this leads to unhealthy air which can cause allergies, stuffiness and headaches.

In looking for an air purifier that would be effective, yet not super intrusive and take up a lot of space, I found the AirMic4S by Okaysou. This compact-size air purifier packs a lot of power, yet is quiet as can be. It’s offers a medical grade H13 True HEPA filter, and is designed for small to large rooms, bedrooms, offices, nurseries, and kitchens.

The  AirMic4S can capture and reduce up to 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including kitchen odorspollenpet danderpet hairsmokehousehold odors, harmful gases like formaldehydeammoniaVOCs.  *CADR of 125 m³/h, AirMic4S circulates air up to 2x per hour in a room size of 580 sq. ft. / 3x per hour in 300 sq. ft. / 5x per hour in 150 sq. ft.

I already use the larger AirMax8L in my living room to capture cooking and pet smells, and it does a fantastic job. However, due to the size constraints of my daughter’s room, the AirMic4S is the perfect size. It’s already doing such of a great job of cleaning my daughters bedroom air. It just FEELS nice to walk in there now, no stagnant smells and the air just smells cleaner.

Although she can’t pack that much for college next year, this air purifier is going to make the trip! Especially with kids and roommates, plus wet weather environments, mold and dust can lead to breathing issues quickly so an air filter system this compact is such a great idea. The nice thing is that you can use the timer function and have it run for 2, 4 or 8 hours. Great to push the on button when you’re on your way out of the day!

The unit is so whisper quiet however, that you can run it at nice. I actually find that it’s similar to a white noise machine and helps me sleep!

Another air allergy purifier option that is good for home use, is the Simpurelife model.

You will need to change the filters out at least every 6 months, unless you see it clogging up faster (like if you have many pets).
